Mission Statement

Helping people grow closer to God and each other.

Vision Statement

To be a vibrant church that loves God, loves our neighbors, serves our community, and nurtures faith in future

generations.

Our Core Values

  • Christ-Centered: We are sinners saved by grace who strive to share Christ’s love, truth, mercy, and grace through everything that we say and do.

  • Community-Focused: We are proud members of the greater Dunn community who are committed to loving our neighbors like Jesus loves us.

  • Caring: We are brothers and sisters in Christ who care for, support, and encourage each other in good times and bad.

  • Considerate: We are friends and neighbors who respect our differences and put the needs of others ahead of our own.

  • Intergenerational: We are men and women of all ages who are intentional about bringing different generations together in order to build up the body of Christ.

  • Supportive of Men and Women: We are committed Christians who firmly believe that God calls men and women to all places of leadership and service in the life of our church.

Statement of Faith

At the center of FBC’s life together is a deep and abiding faith in God, as revealed to us in the person and work of Jesus Christ. We discover who Jesus is as we read the Bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Scripture is foundational to our lives as individuals and as a community. While we each bring our own viewpoints and perspectives, we are drawn together by our faith in God, and we devote ourselves to loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

History

Since our founding in 1885, FBC Dunn has been passionate about leading people closer to God and each other. While we’re proud of our rich history and heritage, we don’t live in the past. Instead, we’re focused on moving forward into a more faithful future.
