Worship
What Does Worship Mean to FBC Dunn?
Worship is the heartbeat of our church. It’s what bring us life, draws us together, and ushers us into the presence of God. Each week, we’re gathering in good times and bad to praise God for who He is, what He’s done, and what He’s promised to do. Worship comes from us, but it’s not about us. It’s all about God.
What’s Our Worship Style?
Our worship is more traditional, meaning that we tend to worship God through the singing of hymns. On any given Sunday, you’ll hear our choir sing, listen to selections on the piano and organ, and perhaps other instruments too. How we worship isn’t any better or worse than other churches worship. It’s just the style that fits us best.
What’s Unique About Our Worship?
We’re intentional about including people of all ages in worship every single week. Children start our services every week by lighting the altar candles, reminding us that Jesus is the light of the world and that we’re gathering in His presence. We also have a children’s message down front every Sunday and each week, scriptures are read by our middle and high school youth. At times, various instrumentalists and vocalists (even our kids!) lead us in special songs. In worship, we seek to nurture the gifts and talents of our church family, no matter their age. We also celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month, a special day when there’s no children’s church and our younger kids are able to stay and worship with their families.
Does FBC Dunn Have Any Special Worship Services?
Apart from gathering for worship on Sunday mornings, our church hosts several special worship services each year, including:
