We are excitedly waiting for Music Ministry to begin again!
The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church provides a variety of opportunities for all ages. It is the goal of this ministry to lead God’s people into a closer relationship with Him through music. We encourage members to use their talents as members of a choir or as a soloist, either vocally or instrumentally. A variety of styles of music is used in our worship in an effort to meet the needs of everyone. We invite you to be a part of this vital ministry of our church.
Preschoolers – 5th grade Builders & Believers learn about music through planned activities each Wednesday that go along with their lesson. They sing periodically in the worship services and also prepare special seasonal programs.
Sanctuary Choir
This group practices each week in preparation for Sunday worship services and is a vital part of our services. Anyone interested in singing with this choir only has to come to rehearsals. We also lead in special worship services during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Through the use of music, we strive to bring God’s people into a closer relationship with Him and His son, Jesus Christ.
Paul, in his letter to the Colossians, says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God”.
